Repeat until the wax has been removed then apply a touch of multipurpose remover such as goof off about 5 home depot to remove residue. Mix from 1 2 to 2 cups of ammonia to one gallon of warm water.

This is really ideal for heavily soiled trim since it will take everything off with a little scrubbing.
